CA Intermediate or CA IPCC is the second level exam of the Chartered Accountancy course in India. The ICAI has made intermediate the first stage in gaining deep knowledge about various Financial and Accounting elements while preparing for the CA degree.
CA INTERMEDIATE is an intermediate level Chartered Accountancy Course for which you must either have passed the CA FOUNDATION EXAM (Entrance exam) or have a graduation to be eligible for direct entry. Students can join CA Intermediate course in two routes CA Direct entry route method and CA Foundation Entry Route Method. After passing the CA Foundation exam, you must pass the Intermediate and CA Final exams

Intermediate students can apply to appear in either both the group or an individual group based on their preparedness. In the months of June and November, intermediate exams are held twice a year.
Students must pass both groups to pass the CA Inter level. They must score 40 percent in each topic or a total of 50 percent in both groups and one group.
The ICAI releases the CA Intermediate admit card on its official website (icaiexam.icai.org). Candidates must check in to the website and print their admission cards on A4-sized paper. To the test center, all applicants must carry a printed copy of their admit card.
After downloading the admit cards verify the following Contents on the CA Intermediate Admit Card:
The ICAI usually sends out admit cards 14 days before to the examinations. The CA intermediate admission card may be downloaded from the internet. Offline mode will not be used to send admit cards. The only method to get the admission cards is to download them from ICAI website.
The CA Intermediate/IPCC Dec 2021 result will be declared in the month of February, 2024 i.e. two months after the exam. According to ICAI criteria, a candidate is deemed to have passed the CA Intermediate course if he receives a minimum of 40% in each individual topic and 50% in the aggregate of all subjects in one sitting, either in both groups or in a single group.
If students desire to receive a certified answer sheet or review their answers, the ICAI offers this service for a little nominal fee.

After passing any or both of the CA intermediate groups, a student must complete a three-year articleship/practical training. Before beginning his or her articleship a student must complete 2 practical trainings of 4 weeks duration each i.e., ICITSS and AICITSS These three trainings are all required by ICAI for pursuing CA Intermediate Course. After passing any of the intermediate groups, you can apply for an articleship.
However, after finishing both groups of the Intermediate course, it is recommended that you can apply for an articleship. Most CA firms, including the Big4, prefer article assistants who have passed their intermediate degree since they will be able to concentrate only on their task.

The papers 1 and 5 have been combined into one, called Advanced Accounting.
Enterprise Information Systems and Economics for Finance are dropped from papers 7 and 8, respectively. The remainder is combined into financial management and Strategic management (50 points + 50 marks) in Paper 6.

To become eligible for the CA Final exams, students have to clear these 4 sets. To clear these modules, they have to score more than 50% marks in each module.
Among the 4 sets, Sets A and B, which are Economics Law and Strategic Cost Management, are compulsory. Also, these are the deleted subjects of the CA Final old course.
In the other two sets, students can choose the topic of their own choice. Students can study for these self-paced modules online during the Articleship training and clear their exams simultaneously.
For students registering through the Foundation Route as well as the Direct Entry Route after completing their eight months of study.
Earlier, students who took the direct admission path were qualified to take the intermediate test after their nine months of practical training were up. In the proposed concept, a shared study time of 8 months is recommended for students entering through the Foundation route and direct entrance route as well, as a student may only begin practical training after passing both sets of intermediate.
